Spring Tea

Saturday April the 12th was the date for our Spring Tea.  We invited family members to join us for tea and cake; an opportunity to meet up before the Easter weekend.

It was good to see so many visitors, and our volunteers arrived armed with the customary offerings of delicious cake and savoury treats. The marquee went up in the secret garden, but the weather, although fine, was still rather cool, so those who couldn't find seats in the dining room set up camp in the lounge.

We had a raffle of donated goodies.  It seems some people didn't want to leave things to chance, employing monopoly tactics when purchasing tickets!

We would like to say thank you to visitors, staff and our regular volunteers, we are very grateful for your support at these social events, it makes the day special for residents.

Stop Press!

Later in the summer we shall be chartering the John Bunyan narrowboat again, so don't miss out, please make a note in your diary - Wednesday the 30th of July - it's the hottest ticket in town!
